The Department of Earth Sciences at Dartmouth College invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the general area of geophysics. We are particularly interested in candidates with research that provides direct synergy with our existing strengths in Earth surface and environmental processes, climate and cryospheric science, and Earth and planetary history. We will prioritize applicants who focus on understanding fundamental processes with a state-of-the-art laboratory, modeling, and/or field research program and who actively support the Department’s commitment to promoting diversity. The person in this position will be expected to teach introductory Earth Science courses, as well as an upper-level course on geophysics.
Requirements
Applicants should have a PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences, Geology, or a closely related field, or be ABD with degree received before the start of the appointment.
